CA Unemployment Down, Compensation Headed Up
Where are the new jobs? According to a Laguna Niguel-based staffing agency, info technology and accounting is where the positions will be in 2013.
The California Employment Development Department announced recently the state unemployment rate dropped 0.3 percent to 9.8 percent in November, with the state adding 268,800 jobs over the year, marking a 1.9 percent increase.
Did Santa come early for those who seek work?
According to Laguna Niguel Branch Manager Jennifer Caison of Accountemps: "We’re seeing some bright spots in the employment market for the months ahead, with compensation projected to increase 4.6% in California in the coming year."

"A supply and demand imbalance has emerged for specialized talent within many professional occupations, including information technology and accounting," Caison said.
