Urgent Notice: Xmas Decorations Now on Sale at Costco

Get your Christmas decorations now even though it's still summer.

The last time I looked it was still August, right?

Well, if that's the case why does already have Christmas decorations on sale?

Is it me or does it seem like stores are capitalizing on this holiday earlier and earlier every year?

We haven't even had Halloween yet.

What do you think? Is it too early to start thinking about Frosty the Snowman and decking the halls?

I love it. Good for business. The earlier the better, the gaudier the better, the more commercial the better. I like it because this demonstrates the true meaning of xmas: Selling, buying, comparing, commercializing, marketing, giving, expecting, being disappointed, reciprocating, over indulging, overspending, borrowing, and second guessing. Even better is the Southern California experience of fake snow, xmas music when it is 80F. I love the ironic "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" - when people are each other's throats with family discontent, fake smiles, stress, and frayed nerves - just waiting for it to be over - December 26th being my favorite day of the year.
