Grab & Go: Fun Things to Do This Weekend June 3-5

Get the family in gear for a weekend of aquatics and movies in the park.

1.  Friday, June 3,  8 p.m. Movies in the Park, Lantern Bay Park, Dana Point.  Grab some sweatshirts, blankets and popcorn and come view a free screening of How to Train Your Dragon at beautiful Lantern Bay Park, right next to the Laguna Cliffs Marriott.   

2.  Saturday, June 4,  10 a.m.-2 p.m. Child Safety Fair, the Center at Rancho Niguel (Greenfield Drive and Rancho Niguel Road).  Sponsored by First Bank, this free event will feature a child ID program, safety and health booths, petting zoo, refreshments, hearing screenings, healthy cooking classes and more.  Visit centersoflagunaniguel.com/events for more information.

 3.  Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5, at  9 a.m.-7 p.m,  Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center.  Get ready to enjoy the summer with at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center, which just opened for the season over Memorial Day weekend.   The Aquatic Center includes a 25-meter pool, a recreation pool, splash pad and toddler wading pool.  The  center also offers fee-based swimming programs, scheduled activities and parties.  Guests can also enjoy water aerobics, a snack bar, cabanas and an outdoor fireplace for lounging and relaxing with family and friends. 4.  Saturday, June 4,  free admission to the Discovery Science Center with a Bank of America check, ATM or credit card. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  Enjoy the Adventures of Mr. Potato Head and Water Works exhibits for free this Saturday with any Bank of America check, debit or credit card.
