Grab and Go: Lots of Halloween Events

The last weekend before Halloween offers some scary and fun events in and around Laguna Niguel and Dana Point.

Oct. 27 34th Annual Moulton Elementary School Boo Blast from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Moulton Elementary School, 29851 Highlands. Enjoy carnival rides, face-painting, haunted house and more. Also visit the online auction beginning on Friday, and closing on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. You can download the FREE app to your computer, smart phone, and/or tablet to do your online shopping and support this fundraising effort by the PTA. For tickets and more information, visit moultonpta.org/Boo_Blast.html

Oct. 26-27 11th Annual Haunted Trails  Experience a year of “Hol-i-Daze” and the horror that unfolds. Small groups will be escorted through mazes, tents and a graveyard. This is a VERY SCARY event and not recommended for children under 8 years of age. Entrance costs $10 per person. Friday, Oct. 26  Halloween Spooktacular & Moonlight Movie,  5-8:30 p.m. The city of Dana Point is hosting a free night of Halloween treats, activities and a movie!  At 5 p.m. join in for some Halloween cupcake decorating and the Best Carved or Decorated Pumpkin Contest for ages 3-10 (bring your already carved or decorated pumpkin), followed by a costume parade with a free treat for each child. At 6:15 p.m., a free showing of Monster House (rated PG) will be shown with free popcorn available. Saturday, Oct. 27 Kaleidoscope Trick or Treat & Pumpkin Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring the kids over to Kaleidoscope dressed up as their favorite Halloween character and join in for a center-wide trick or treat party for kids ages 4-10. Pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch for $5 and let Rise from Colorful Face Art demonstrate how to paint the perfect pumpkin. Sunday, Oct. 28  Pumpkins & Pancakes at South Coast Plaza at 8 to 11 a.m. Reserve your tickets now for Pumpkins & Pancakes, a Halloween extravaganza that benefits CASA Orange County, CHOC Children’s Foundation and Orangewood Children’s Foundation.  Enjoy Plum’s Café gourmet pancake breakfast, music, balloon artists, arts and crafts, caricature drawings, professional photos, surprise characters and a silent auction.  Tickets are $35 at the door, children 2 and under are free.  Pre-order prices are available before 10-26.
