Report: Laguna Niguel's Car Insurance Rates Equal State Average

In a new study on car insurance costs across the state, annual premiums for Laguna Niguel were declared middle-of-the-road. In fact, they almost matched the state average.

That's the finding of an auto insurance study from ValuePenguin.com, which looked at auto insurance costs across 210 cities, 30 driver profiles and 52 companies to arrive at the average costs and city rankings.

The average rate per year for single drivers in Laguna Niguel is $1,124 and for married drivers is $1,070, the report found.

Laguna Niguel shared this distinction with Antioch, Redlands, Fresno, Corona and Victorville. The most expensive city on the list was Glendale, and the city with the cheapest rates was Calexico.
