OCTA Rings In The New Year With Free Bus Rides

The transportation agency will play designated driver for the 11th year in a row and has a station in Laguna Niguel.

The Orange County Transportation Authority is helping make end of the year celebrations safe and hassle-free by providing free bus rides between 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 and 2:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.

The Laguna Niguel station is located at 28200 Forbes Road.

“We are pleased to once again give residents a convenient way to travel this New Year’s Eve,” said OCTA Vice Chairman Gregory Winterbottom. “We encourage those out celebrating to leave the driving to OCTA and enjoy a free ride on the bus.”

Last year, there were more than 16,000 free New Year’s Eve boardings and more than 120,000 boardings since the program began in 2002.

For more information on New Year’s Eve service and to check bus routes and schedules, visit OCTA’s web site at octa.net or call (714) 636-7433.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
