VIDEO: Ocean Alien or Actual Fish in Dana Point?

Laguna Niguel has had some weird sightings this past year, but check this fish called a "Mola" out from Capt. Dave Anderson down in Dana Point.

This just in from the crew at Capt. Dave's Dolphin and Whale Safari in Dana Point.

The crew reports this alien-looking creature is actually an Ocean Sunfish (or Mola mola). Mola mola's are the largest bony fish in the world and can weigh up to 5,000 pounds, Capt. Dave says.

Whale watching passengers aboard Capt. Dave's Dolphin and Whale Safari had an amazing encounter with this large sunfish estimated to be about 5 feet off Dana Point, Sunday morning, the crew said.

"This strange and unique animal 'mugged' our catamaran on Sunday and wowed passengers inside our Eye to Eye Underwater Viewing Pods," Capt. Dave reported.
