Lucky Lottery Ticket Bought in Dana Point Still Unclaimed

A Mega Millions ticket worth $156,712 at Super Stop Liquor sits uncashed after more than two months.

A lottery ticket sold in Dana Point in January that matched all but one number for a Mega Millions jackpot has not been claimed yet, according to lottery officials. Whoever has the ticket has until July 24 to claim the $156,712 prize.

The ticket was purchased at Super Stop Liquor on Golden Lantern near the Dana Point Harbor. The ticket successfully matched the numbers 11, 17, 31, 48, and 12, missing only the Mega number of 1.

Prize winners have 180 days to claim their ticket. Last year more than $20,000,000 went unclaimed in the state—if the Super Stop ticket isn’t turned in by 5 p.m. on July 24, the $156,712 will diverted to California schools.
