Laura's House and Whole Foods Join Forces to Raise Awareness
More than $700 was raised on Sunday at the Laguna Niguel market for Domestic Awareness Month.
Whole Foods Market in Laguna Niguel was the place to be on Sunday.
The popular market hosted a domestic violence fundraiser on Sunday, called Blender Bike to benefit Laura's House and raised $725.
"We had many people stop by to purchase and/or blend their own signature purple Laura's House smoothies on the blender bike. The smoothies were handed out in cups displaying the Laura's House logo and its hotline number - 866-498-1511," said Andrea McCallister of Laura's House.

There were about a half-dozen volunteers helping out with the event, and Janeane Bernstein, public affairs host of "Momz Rock the House" on KUCI 88.9 FM came and rode the blender bike.
"Overall, it was a very successful event, and we are grateful to Whole Foods Laguna Niguel for supporting Laura's House during Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2012," McCalister said.
