WARNING: High Bacteria Levels at Dana Point Harbor

Ocean and bay waters are posted with warning signs when bacterial levels in ocean or bay waters exceed health standards by the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Ocean Water Protection Program.

The weather has made a drastic change from blistering hot to overcast.

And while it may not be swimming weather, there are some folks who may head out to either surf or dip their toes in nearby Dana Point this weekend.

However, be aware of the following closures and advisories issued by the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Ocean Water Protection Program.

Dana Point - All of Baby Beach in Dana Point Harbor (posted area reduced 10/20/12).

Dana Point - From the Dana Point Harbor breakwater to 300 feet downcoast of the Dana Point Harbor breakwater at Doheny State Beach (posted area reduced 9/21/2012).

Dana Point - From 500 feet upcoast of the last campground to the end of the park at Doheny State Beach (posted area reduced 9/21/2012).

Dana Point - All of Capistrano County Beach (posted 9/14/2012).

Dana Point - All of Capistrano Bay Community Beach (posted 9/6/2012).

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.
