Get a Drone's-Eye View of Dana Point [video]

When the robots take over the world, they'll be enjoying some spectacular views.

Take, for example, this two-minute video clip recorded by a hovering camera above the Dana Point shore, uploaded by YouTube user David Schaffner.

The private use of drones has been the subject of much speculation since Amazon founder Jeff Bezos announced his company's long-term plans to use the flying contraptions to deliver packages.

The drone used to shoot the above video, the Phanton 2 Vision, is made for photography, not heavy lifting. It can spend about 25 minutes in the air and sports a 1080p HD video camera, as well as a 14-megapixel still-shot camera. According to various shopping websites, it'll set you back about $1,200.

If you had a $1,200 camera/helicopter, would you fly it over the ocean? Tell us in the comments below.
