Gas Prices Down in Orange County

The weekend is just hours away and the good news? Gas is just a little more than $4 a gallon in Laguna Niguel and Dana Point.

Gas prices have dropped in Orange County for the 25th straight day according to according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price decreased today for the 25th consecutive
day, falling 3 cents to $4.039, 23.6 cents less than one week ago and 13.8
cents lower than one month ago but 19.7 cents higher than one year ago

The Orange County average price has decreased 65.1 cents over the past
25 days, including 3.9 cents on Thursday, after rising 51.3 cents over the
previous six days to a record high of $4.69.

"We're encouraging drivers to continue to aggressively shop for the lowest possible gas prices,'' said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California. "In most local areas, drivers should be able to find stations charging less than $4 a gallon."

For commuters,  The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular
gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased today for the 24th consecutive day,
falling 3.3 cents to $4.092, one day after dropping 3.7 cents.

The average price has fallen 61.3 cents over the past 24 days after
rising 50.4 cents over the previous seven days and reaching a record high of
$4.705, 

Locally, the cheapest gas in Laguna Niguel is at Laguna Niguel Chevron, 30072 Crown Valley Pkwy., for $4.06 for a gallon of regular.

In Dana Point it is at Chevron at 32842 Pacific Coast Hwy., for $4.04 per gallon of regular.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.
