Drunk Man Allegedly Swings Ax at Resident After Verbal Dispute

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from May 26- 27.

A man reported that another man was swinging an ax at him after a confrontation on Tuesday, May 26 at 11:39 a.m., on Dana Point Harbor Drive, according to police. The man was allegedly drunk, in his 50s, with graying hair, and was wearing a blue vest, brown T-shirt and jeans.

Welfare Check 2:29 a.m. Beacon Hill Way/Sentry Hill. A man was lying on the curb near the soccer fields, hunched in a ball, and with his shirt over his head.

Tuesday, May 26:

Disturbance 3:05 p.m. Moulton Parkway/Rancho Niguel Road. A man stated that someone was throwing tennis balls onto vehicles and one hit his work car.

Disturbance 2:53 a.m. 30000 block of the street of the Golden Lantern. A woman referenced an argument with her roommate and her roommate’s boyfriend.

Suspicious Person 2:02 a.m. 33900 block of Malaga Drive. A woman reported that a man tried to enter her backyard through the side gate. (Dana Point)
