This year's Fourth of July celebration will be showcasing the same firework company, Fireworks America, in the annual holiday event.
"Last year we used Fireworks America," said Council Member Laurie Davies. "We did have a delay of 15 minutes last year, but it was a common error. I believe the company did a great job."
In a unanimous 4-0 vote, council has decided to renew their contract under the condition that the contract lasts only a year with a renewal option as oppose to Fireworks America's three-year contract.
