For the second year in a row, Seychelle Balog, a fourth grade student at St. Anne School in Laguna Niguel, won the Orange County All-Girls Math Competition. Students, grades three through eight, from 36 schools across Orange County came together at St. Anne School on Sunday, May 19 to compete and challenge their skills in mathematics. Over 50 students represented St. Anne School in the countywide competition.
The 2013 Orange County All-Girls Math Tournament was presented by Orange County Math Circle to encourage girls' interest in mathematics. Orange County Math Circle is a student-run, nonprofit community service organization, in which students integrate learning and teaching to serve the community by strengthening math culture and making resources accessible to all who want to learn.
